Organization: Abercrombie & Fitch
Project Dates: January 2007 – March 2008
Service: In early 2007, Abercrombie & Fitch (A&F) IT Department was looking for a partner to assist them in the design of a new home office data center. It was targeted to go into an office building that was just entering the design stages at their New Albany, Ohio campus. TechSite was assigned engineering and construction administration duties on this 8,700 square foot facility.
This project included conceptual design, detailed engineering and construction administration components. All facets of design were developed, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression, architectural, security, infrastructure monitoring and telecom/structured cabling. Working with the customer, TechSite designed the facility to meet Tier II/Tier III specifications. It included a 6,000 square foot server equipment room, a 1,500 square foot command center and a 1,200 square foot Copy Room. Major infrastructure components included a diesel generator, paired UPS units and fully redundant computer room air conditioners. After construction was substantially complete, TechSite developed and implemented full Commissioning Services for the facility.
