At the United Way’s Community Care Day in Union County TechSite was among the 735 people from workplaces, churches, and organizations who volunteered to work on the landscaping projects and spring cleaning. TechSite revitalized the old playground equipment at the Daily Needs Assistance Pantry.
“As we were working the school buses let out and kids were excited-many yelling Thank You!” said Matt Phillips, TechSite Vice-President of operations. “We worked into the evening as families showed up for baseball. The kids were again excited and couldn’t wait to play.” The work performed included new decking on the small playground, reworking of the area under the playground equipment to have a safe gravel base and painting the playground equipment. TechSite even replaced the nets on the basketball hoops assuring that there was no project too big or too small to complete for the children who played there.
