During the 2013 Uptime Institute /451Group Symposium in May, a second TechSite engineer received training and passed the testing to be an Accredited Tier Designer (ATD). The Accredited Tier Designer program was initiated by the Uptime Institute in 2009 to offer a higher level of training to engineers involved in the design of Mission Critical, high availability facilities.
The class instruction and ongoing support for this program focuses on practical application of the Uptime Institute Tier Topology systems. Many examples of common issues and misconceptions are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Since TechSite's initiation into the program in 2009, we've found the ATD experience and support from the Uptime Institute very helpful on many projects that have had a Tier Rating objective.
