James "Jim" A. Schrader, PE, LEED AP

President/Owner

As the president of TechSite, Jim Schrader has been the driving force since its inception on December 1, 2001. With his years of experience, Jim has a vast amount of expertise that is valuable in his ability to offer precise solutions. He is particularly good at assembling teams with the right expertise to achieve the goals of TechSite’s clients. Having the knack for seeing an opportunity to do things better in data centers, Jim focuses on customized solutions rather than doing the standard “cookie cutter” quick-fix. Jim’s clients find that their projects have been handled with attention to detail from a sincere and dedicated expert.

Early in his career, Jim knew he wanted to do more in the data center industry. Prior to founding TechSite, he served in numerous roles and promotions to leadership. In 1989, Jim helped establish Computer SITE-PREParation to provide design/build services for data centers and other mission-critical environments. Jim held a strategic supervisory role managing the design, construction, and implementation of every project. He has been responsible for the approval and professional certification of engineering plans, supervision, and coordination of other engineers to create essential construction documentation.

Jim is most excited about the development of people within the TechSite organization. He is passionate about building the right team with the right values and attitude. Jim loves working as part of a team, gathered around a set of prints, or working as part of a construction or maintenance team. Jim’s proudest moments come when the TechSite team solves customers' problems. “When we improve and strengthen customers' mission critical facilities, they go on to use their facilities to achieve great things. It is exciting to see what amazing things the right technology can do.” –Jim Schrader

A frequent speaker at industry events, Jim has extensive experience in mission-critical facilities and a deep understanding of operational efficiency drivers. He has been a featured company owner in Central Ohio Business First and was one of the select few named “People to Know in Technology” by The Clark Schafer Hackett firm. Jim's career has taken him to places all over the globe. He has worked on missional critical facility projects in Russia, Korea, Germany, England, Ireland, Netherlands, Japan, Iceland, Guam, and several states.

In addition to being the company president, Jim is the company pilot. His hobby is flying the TechSite crew to customer sites.
