Our Team

Though TECH SITE is a relatively new name to the industry, its employees share knowledge and experience in the design, engineering and evaluation processes needed to improve a facility. They can attest to having many years of combined experience developing the most efficient and useful designs for commercial, industrial, educational and health facilities. TECH SITE prides itself on completing projects within a designated timeframe. Together, and separately, they employ their knowledge and skills to aid in creating the best individual fit for each piece of equipment utilized within a facility's data center. An overview of our management team is included below for a more exclusive look at TECH SITE's capabilities and expertise.

James "Jim" A. Schrader, PE
President/Owner

Jim Schrader began his career in the critical infrastructure field almost 20 years ago with the Liebert Corporation. His duties included Application Engineering for Liebert computer room air conditioning products, involving technical and sales support and feature design service as well as system performance analysis. As the Manager of Technical Marketing, Jim was in charge of Application Engineers and proceeded to perform such duties such as duct sizing calculations and CFM testing based on ASHRAE specifications. He also created a chiller performance program, which aided in calculating specific customer needs for those products.

In 1989, Jim left Liebert Corp. to work on design/build services for data centers and other critical environments. As a part of Computer Site Preparations, and later, Emerson Telecom Systems, he designed or managed the design of critical facilities for call centers, web hosting sites, collocation facilities, and telecom central office facilities.

In 2001 Jim founded TECHnology SITE Planners, Inc. (TECH SITE). Jim continues to provide engineering services for his clients. These services include conceptual Design and Budgeting analysis, which allow TECH SITE's clients to plan for their critical space requirements. Jim works with other engineers on the TECH SITE team to provide architectural, structural, security, mechanical, fire suppression, electrical, data cabling, and monitoring system design. Jim works with the TECH SITE construction management staff to oversee the successful implementation of the designs.

Matt Phillips
Construction Manager

Matt has more than twenty years of progressive experience and a visible track record of managing Large Scale & Multi-Site construction projects on time and within budget. Matt managed all aspects of the construction projects while at Jack Klema Construction including sales, accounting, contracts and construction site operations.

During his time at Safelite Glass Corp., Matt was responsible for the build-out and maintenance of four national and fifty regional call centers, while directing all construction operations involved with opening, relocation, remodeling, and/or expansion of 350-700 facilities. Designed all call centers to operate 24/7/365 achieving an average uptime of 99.99%.

Matt's experience in call center environments and multiple site project management prove him an articulate communicator with all levels of technical and non-technical professionals and clients. He is astute at recognizing areas for change, with the vision and ability to develop and implement process improvements that increased productivity and profitability. Matt has been dedicated to providing exceptional service with ability to cultivate strong positive rapport and build relationships by performing beyond expectation.

Jackie Kershaw, RCDD
Engineering Manager

Jackie has been working in the construction industry for more than 16 years. She has been involved in work space and data center engineering and design for companies in the manufacturing, medical and financial arenas. With extensive experience using AutoCAD and related software tools such as Architectural Desktop, Revit and Accurender, Jackie has produced many full color 3D renderings of designed spaces.

In the area of monitoring and alarm management, Jackie has assisted customers in the customization and implementation of Liebert monitoring hardware and the Liebert SiteScan Web software package. She also has worked with IT managers to develop better documentation on their equipment, especially as it relates to the supporting infrastructure.

Jackie is a certified RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) and is involved in the planning of pathways for data cabling. Coordination of cabling pathways with other components of the infrastructure is an important component of Data Center design.

Jackie works with clients to determine their needs and coordinates engineering and construction services to implement the designs. She credits clear and consistent written and verbal communication between the client, engineers and construction personnel, as being the key ingredient of a successful engineering project.
