Introduction: Jim Schrader, the guiding force behind TechSite Inc., serves as the Owner of the company. His foremost responsibility is to ensure that the President and Leadership Team are equipped with the resources and guidance they need to excel. Jim’s leadership involves wearing multiple hats; from being a coach and mentor to participating in business development opportunities, strategic planning, and managing capital allocation.

Professional Background: Boasting an impressive 39 years in the industry, Jim is an epitome of experience and knowledge. He holds both a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University. Recognized as a Professional Engineer, he’s also an active member of ASHRAE. Before owning TechSite Inc., Jim played significant roles in numerous organizations. Jim started TechSite in 2001 and ran the company as President until 2023. He remains Primary owner of the company and is still very involved in the business, but has turned over the day-to-day operations of the company. His years before TechSite, Jim served positions including Solutions Group Manager at Emerson Telecom Systems, Manager at ComputerSite-Preparations, and Application Engineer/West Coast Regional Manager at Liebert.
One of Jim’s distinct achievements is his vast international experience. He has been instrumental in mission-critical projects across the globe, from Russia and Korea to Canada, Germany, Guam and Puerto Rico.

Leadership and Management Style: Jim firmly believes in the philosophy, ” Take care of your people and they will take care of customers who in turn will take care of your business.” He asserts the importance of robust systems and procedures in any enterprise, emphasizing that if a team member faces challenges, it’s essential to first evaluate the systems in place. When it comes to client relationships, Jim’s approach is rooted in understanding. He emphasizes the need to listen before acting, believing that solving a client’s problems starts with comprehending their concerns. His mantra for client engagement is straightforward yet profound: “The customer is not always right, but they are always the customer, and as such they deserve to be treated with respect and an attitude of gratitude.”

Personal Interests and Hobbies: Away from the professional sphere, Jim is an aviation enthusiast, holding a commercial pilot license with instrument and multi-engine ratings.
